My cousin lives on a small ranch, They have chickens and three dogs. One day, one of the dogs alerted on one of their chicken coops that there was a rat underneath. The chicken coop was about the size of a phone booth, so we made sure the dog was at the ready and tipped over the coop (no chickens were harmed in this activity).
The rat got about a 10 yard head start. It ran another 10 yards for what remained of its life. The dog did a victory lap with the dead rat around the outside of the house for about 15 minutes before dropping it on the ground and rolling over it back and forth. Fortunately, she was an “outside” dog.
Our niece, who was living with us at the time, was with us and was standing by the corral fence which is about 5 feet high. Both animals headed straight for her. My niece is a city girl and screams at the sight of an insect, so to have a rat charging at her at Mach 6 with a dog in wild pursuit elicited a high-pitched yelp that was heard three counties over. She also managed to wind up sitting atop the fence from a standing position.
Dogs are an essential part of ranch life, but they do have to be trained to leave the chickens alone.

In Arizona: Look for it in the freezer section.
And don’t go through a Starbucks drive thru on the way home if your car’s AC is on the fritz.

The picture on the label implies that (at least some) females will be entranced by the natural scents (probably including pheromones).

I didn’t know they needed help tp find something stinky, anything gross smelling seems to be a magnet for the discerning pooch.
