The Wretched Turnip? Seriously? I could come up with a far better title than that. And I would love to know how such a title can be either “deep” or “meaningful”.
Reminded of when an Italian director offered Lucy Ricardo a bit part in his film “Bitter Grapes” and she researched the part by disguising herself as a grape stomper at a winery. It was only after she came back with purple skin after a fight with a regular stomper that he told her the title was metaphorical.

If this was Foxtrot, maybe it would be a book about mom’s cooking.

The envelope it came in yesterday must be much bigger inside, like the TARDIS.

I dare Andrews McMeel to collect more Adam@Home strips under that title.

It’s a mystery novel. How many bodies will turnip before the crimes are solved?

It should be The Wretched Radish. Those darn Fraggles and their tricks to make me eat their food!

“Wretched Rutabaga” would have been more alliterative. :)
