My granddaughter (currently seen to the left) was very frightened of Coon, the raccoon who comes up on our front porch to help the cats avoid obesity. “He looked right at me, MawMaw!! I didn’t like it!”
The other evening, she showed no fear of Possum, the possum who was trying to help Coon avoid obesity. “MawMaw, there’s a BIG mouse on the front porch.”
People are interesting in what we fear and what we do not.

Any dog that bites you in the lap is worthy of fear.

There’s a word for a lot of fears…but a fear of dogs I’m not sure what that is.
