Really funny how Nate is talking about someone being power hungry when when he was president he was also powerhungry (except for the time he did a good thing to show off to gina)

Pretty sure amending the constitution requires more than an executive order.

Although Gina does stuff like this, she does also help the school a lot, so I would still say she is a good president

I did my own student council at school. I dropped out. So stressful! But some of my friends won, so I’m okay with it.

I remember someone saying this some time ago… they basically said that one of the reason the comics aren’t funny anymore is because most of the characters are acting EXACTLY how Nate describes them. Mrs G used to be an okay teacher, strict and no-nonsense, but now she’s just as bad as how Nate says she is (ex. Nate exaggerates her in his comics, which is funny because that’s EXACTLY how a rebellious 11 year old would react to a teacher like that, but now it’s no longer funny because it’s true). One of the humour in the strips is seeing Nate overreacting to things around him and seeing how he views things WAY differently then how they actually are. It’s part of the charm because Nate’s a KID. He fails to see things outside his perspective. But now… so many characters are ruined because they’re just as bad as how Nate says they are, and as a result, the comics become mean-spirited and unrealistic (and not in a funny, ha-ha cartoon logic way either)

I thought the spammers were gone, GoComics. If you ask me, the mods give all the annoying users too long to continue being mean or spamming before they finally get banned. Greenhairedkid lasted almost all summer. didn’t ask lasted about a month or two, also. And now EVERYONE is turning to the dark side, INCLUDING the guy who’s featured right now. I wish I was a mod.

I turned Grammarly on and now they literally correct my comments on here lol. In case you were wondering how I have such perfect grammar.

So, as I said a few weeks ago, this comic has a bit of a trend, that trend being the fact that 90% of the arcs over the last few years have just been the same thing of:-Nate has an idea/thinks something good is going to happen-We build up to that good thing happening-Its revealed its not going to happen, nothing changes haha Nate’s life sucks

Now I get it, comics can’t have world changing arcs all that often because they run for decades, so I understand why the status quo isn’t changed much by these arcs. But is there any reason they ALL have to just be bad stuff happening to Nate? Isn’t it okay if he wins one? Or if there’s a fight between him and his friends, or a school trip like way back in the day, or a chess tournament (remember when he used to do that?) or a girl he likes, or comics he draws. I feel like over time everything that made Nate a character just kinda went away.

-He doesn’t draw anymore-He doesn’t play chess anymore-He doesn’t do music anymore with his band-He doesn’t do wild schemes anymore UNLESS they’re bad ones intended to go wrong-He doesn’t have a crush on anyone anymore

The only thing he still does have is that he’s arrogant, and while thats a part of him that wasn’t the only thing, I don’t think its the reason anyone fell in love with this comic. I can’t even remember the last time Nate pursued any of his hobbies at all, or the last time we saw anything outside of this same loop that was really fun.

Maybe I’m just old now and trying to hold onto the nostalgia this comic gives, but I don’t think I’m entirely wrong when I say the last few years have been a bit dull for us, and a bit too harsh on Nate. I hope that changes.
