@Number Six Today’s strip IS funny our HERO Mr Andrew Capp drinking anything but booze makes no sense but Andy would give up beer if it made him see two Flo’s and two M.I.Laws :o) my avatar again is a picture of my birth sign Leo roaring his head off because he’s in a good mood like I am , how was your day? mine should be bothersome because Connie has to go with Silvana to the hairdresser leaving me to fend on me own but I should cope I hope, so I’ll just chill and wait for this evening when I will have my fav nosh, keep safe and thanks for caring young Lady
For some men, one of the side effects of The Little Blue Pill (if you know what I mean, and I think you do ;) ) is everything including people take on a bluish tint. Besides the desired effect, its like getting intimate with Smurfette or one of the characters from “Avitar”. Told to me by a friend.
Ah, the old “Mother-in-Law” trope: from I Love Lucy, to The Flintstones, to Bewitched, to The Jeffersons—it was so pervasive on TV in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s, it’s amazing that anyone ever married someone whose mother was still alive…
Seeing doubles – that should make you drink even more. Double, double toil and trouble;Fire burn and caldron bubble = https://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/double-double-toil-and-trouble.html
Considering how minuscule the liquor measures are in English pubs – (you’d need a magnifying glass to find it! )- yer man’s reason for givin’ up the sup was probably an economic one. It would cost you a bloody great fortune drinkin’ doubles to be seein’ doubles.
I’m so glad you managed to fend for yourself for an hour or two. I love being left in the house on my own. I always throw a wild party. Haha.
As if, I love the quiet life much more.
I have been to my favourite beach today. In fact, I’m still here. Going to get the bus home soon. It wasn’t cold today and the sun was out. By the way, I stayed up until after 5am last night. I seem to be getting better at pulling all nighters again. If I can manage one more hour, I’ll be one of the first commenters again.
Enjoy your favourite nosh today, pal. I’m having mine as well. Stay safe, stay well and stay happy. See you after the weekend.

Maybe the possibility of that happening to Capp will make him stop spending other people’s money on booze.
One can only hope.

2 Flo’s and 2 MILS, why that’s enough to drive Andy to drink!

Does that include two wedding anniversaries, two birthdays or is that four birthdays to remember?

Seeing 2 of my mother in law would be enough to put me off my drink !

Wouldn’t seeing two glasses make him think he was drinking twice as much?

If my drink ever affected me that way during my first marriage, I’d have quit, and never again touched booze. Thank goodness, it didn’t … ;)
