Carmen is right; the GOP builds monsters. Look at the Reagan, Cheney and the Bush boys. Not to mention Gohmert and Cruz and Rep. Gym Hardon.

Have we ever seen a candidate get a level of opposition from major figures in his own party like Donald Trump? Have we ever seen anything like the Lincoln Project before, where someone like me can find common ground with people like Bill Kristol, Joe Walsh, and Scott Stantis?

And his followers still can’t believe he lost. When he only won the first time because of a total flukey weighted counting system despite getting 3 million (that’s THREE MILLION) fewer votes than his opponent. And spent the next four years insulting the majority of voters that didn’t vote for him.

Not in my lifetime. The teahadists(aka tea baggers) were an astroturf organ of the then republican party who pretty much staged a coup against the Party due to being told to sit down and shut up until they were ordered to disrupt another Democratic Town Hall. Then came Trump, who took over from the teahadists because that is what proto-authoritarian Oligarchs do. Now the former republican party has morphed into its current form, The Party Of Trump=TPOT, the current iteration of the Know Nothings Party.

The question for 2022 and 2024 is, will the demented idiot in charge(T****)keep his word to order his cult of trumpbots to sit out the 22 and 24 elections because they are unable to substantiate his insane Big Lie and reverse the 2020 election that he lost by 9 million votes? I doubt he will be able to remember what he said in 2021 by the time 2022 rolls around and will proclaim videos of him making stupid claims as Fake News. He apparently suffers from Fronto Temporal Dementia. And of course he is a professional victim, making idiotic claims that only his cult members believe

So, it’s official, Carmen dislikes the orange idiot………………….now what about the 70 million who voted for the orange idiot, too many of whom are right-wing populists with no real courage or a noticeable value system…………………….with my deepest apologies to robby hood.

Gee, Stantis, you might have left a little gap in the continuity between Reagan and The Messiah…

Like Bush I with the S&L collapse and subsequent BAILOUT.

And Gingrich with his immortal nastiness, which is the defining characteristic of the Republican Party of Trump. And the Great Prosecution/Persecution of Clinton having consensual sex.

And Bush II with 9/11 (“All right, you’ve covered your ass.”) and the subsequent invasion of Iraq (because Saddam had nucular weapons) and the collapse of the financial systems and subsequent BAILOUT.

And Moscow Mitch (“My only goal is to make Obama a one term president.”) and his scorched earth policies.

And now, The Messiah. “Stop the steal!” “We WANT them infected!”

And Fox “news” and the right wing media orchestrating the narrative the entire time.

    .

Stantis, you are JUST FINE with everything Reagan did and all the subsequent Republican administrations, right? What, exactly was the breaking point?

It wasn’t the Republican hatred of democracy, was it? Maybe them pesky Nazis? (fine people)

Dying to know how much was too much.

Is appropriate that the Trump character would insult the same people he hopes will vote for him…
