Peppermint Patty, Marcie wasn’t good at helping you get that dress for your skating competition. What makes you think she’d be good in providing the proper hairstyle for said event?

Since this is a 1974 strip. I would think that she would like the Dorothy Hamill hairstyle. She won gold in 1976. But she had to have been competing for several years before the 76 Winter Olympics.

Maybe their lines cross a few generations back, like all the rest of us. The Human Family, after all, is one large family, all of whom are indeed Children of God as all of our spirits in our tired bodies are His Eternal Children.

Her hair is too short for a bun or ponytail. Just buy some clips for the sides to keep it out of her face. Then again, Patty’s been skating just fine with it down. I keep my hair long so I can make a bun or ponytail for competition.

I vote for an Iriquoi or Mohawk look … it would be a real eye catcher, and keep the judges’ eyes off your skating performance.

Did you not learn anything from the “dress incident”? Perhaps instead of trying something else, you should try somebody else, like a professional hair stylist.

Better watch out P Patty! Marcie may end up giving you a look that channels Sinead O’Connor or Rose McGowan.
