You can get accurate time from the time standards on the Internet. Since well before the early days of the Internet, WWV has maintained a time standard from which all the other time standards derive their time. Most likely your computer automatically monitors this time standard or uses it to update, daily. (https://www.nist.gov/pml/time-and-frequency-division/time-distribution/internet-time-service-its) I used to operate a local standard on my networks that derived it’s time from the Naval Observatory, one of the primary servers.

“10 & 2” is ancient history. Since the introduction of airbags it is now “4 & 8”.

Know a guy who just does 5 & 7, except when turning. Then he spins the wheel one handed, like he’s doing a slalom course. Cringe-worthy.

I often use 10 … The other hand is on the gear shift lever or the throttle (if in an aircraft).

I’m lucky to live in a province that doesn’t change time, so no problems for me.

The subject is rearranging the position of hands on a steering wheel – not time or batteries

I still drive at 10 & 2. Been driving that way for a long time.
