Always look on the bright side of things.

If I can’t watch with my thumb hovering over the Fast Forward button, I won’t watch it.

In our first date with my-ex wife we have seen Flashdance. I couldn’t wait for it to end it was so honeyed, even if Jennifer Beals was beautiful to see, and in real life she speaks a wonderful and correct Italian, which I appreciate.

So, Brutus, You had a happy ending.

It would have been the perfect time to get 40 winks, and you blew it.

After the movie, Gladys insisted on diner at an expensive restaurant.

If you’re smart you won’t tell Gladys that.

Incredibly boring and no interest in the characters. Sounds like “The Shipping News”

I hope the popcorn was good.

well, at least you got to spend time with your wife. :)

I have seen movies like that, “St Elmo’s Fire” put me to sleep.

Years ago my son and his friends went to see ’Magnolia’… they came out and everyone was quiet for a bit and then one had the nerve to ask “what did we just see??”

Take a nap or smartphone or snack your way through it. Not even Old Uncle Ted wears those 1940’s Hats Brutus. Course he has nice head of hair.

As we all are when those movies end. Hang in there though; Top Gun II is coming out soon……

In a statement that echoed my thoughts exactly, after There Will Be Blood I heard a lady say while exiting the theater “there goes three hours I’ll never get back.”

And in typical male fashion.. all the hints went right over his head. Got to pay attention Brutus it you expect to get a snuggle at night

There are three kinds of movies, based on the skill of the person who buys the film. If he buys too much then the movie drags on and becomes boring. If he buys too little it ends abruptly with a ‘what the heck’ effect but if he buys just the right amount it’s a happy ending.

Quality time is worth taking a hit at least half the time.

Dreary melodrama, no wonder Brutus didn’t enjoy it, much too close to his own reality.

Well you salvaged the night by having an edible dinner.

That why my tv is downstairs, and her tv is up stairs. There she can watch soaps and Lifeline to her hearts content.

At least Brutus wasn’t so worn down that he couldn’t enjoy the end of the torture.

That must have been a surprise, Brutus to see your life on the silver screen. ;o) Happy Thanksgiving!

I have seen some of those. Some of the so-called boring movies are more interesting than some the so-called exciting movies.

I’m sure my late Husband and I saw more, but I remember I wanted to see “FX”, it was at the drive-in, the other half was “Remo Williams, The Adventure Begins”We both liked FX, but liked “Remo” even more. At the regular inside theater we saw “Star Trek IV, The Voyage Home” LOVED that.(Still do).
