We visited our grandparents rather than them visiting us. They were much older, and too poor to own cars.

I’m a grandpa and appreciate the description here by Liz.

They should have pictures around the house of extended family

Well, at least the kid tries to call him Grandpa. Rather than Pee Paw or Pop Pip or one of those other silly names that would have been the height of disrespectful when I was a kid.

Some reacquainting time will do them both good.

First, why is Liz taking to April like April has .et her grandparents?

Second, at just 20 months old, there is no way April would know anything about Santa.

Hide the pot holders! Get ready to order a new ceiling; Elly parents are coming! The fire trucks are on standby.

My grandkids have no doubt as to who grandma and grandpa are! If their mom is planning on coming to our place, the three-year-old will ask from the moment his feet hit the floor in the morning if it is time to go yet. And he doesn’t let up!
