She looks a little too predatory to be a bit player. At first I thought those two orbs in her lap were spectacles, in which case—a raptor bird whose vision needed correction—she would be a bit of a marginal creature.

Kitty Hawk’s two lines were about spreading her wings and learning to soar with the eagles … Unfortunately, the director cut that scene, leaving her out on a limb with nothing to say.

It is usually best to be a bit player in the tragedies of the stories of others, while remaining the hero in your own, where they are nothing more than a background establishing shot.
