There is a local steakhouse that serves cafe style. They have one of the best salad bars I’ve ever seen. My brother would order then chow down on the salad bar that had soups and tacos and various salads and fixins. Then he would have the meal put in a to go box for later.
Oooo, Arlo and Janis are sitting at the magically safe table, yet the water is still in the unsafe zone outside the magic table. We are going to look back in few years, and either laugh at what boobs we were, or cry over the lost years.
Husband had been chomping at the bit to eat out again. Back in the “normal times” he had us eating lunch out 7 days a week at Wendys (same meal daily), plus dinner out on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (unless took in Chinese food one of the three nights instead). Eating home all meals, except one take in Chinese meal kept getting to him.
I used his hatred of eating home all the time to explain to him how much I hated eating out all the time (actually I hate doing so at all) and that when life is normal again I want to eat home at least 3 lunches a week.
So now we go out once or twice a week to Wendys when we have to go out and run some errand or another (food, prescription, bank, or problem in house and Lowes/Home Depot stop needed). It is such a procedure to be sure we are safe that it is exhausting to do so. He also has us eating Friday night dinner out at the Asian buffet we used to go to. I really don’t feel comfortable doing so even though masks and plastic gloves are required when one goes up for food. I won’t eat anything served cold.

A to-go box, you have not got your meal yet.

Get it and go? She could have just sat in the car and they would have brought it out.

“Dying to try this place”? Not the best choice of words, Janis, considering what we’ve been through.

You miss the obvious. Janis knows Arlo doesn’t eat salad. He’s dismayed.

Get vax’ed, and the booster, and it’s pretty much normal going forward.

With the pandemic still rampant a social activity shouldn’t be a thing “dying to”.

The best part about beating COVID 19, would be IF it would end POINTLESS arguments over masks.

Been eating out since last fall.
Always get the go to box before meal so u can put some in box and not have any germs in it.
Meals are always too big so they can charge more and who wants to wait and wait at end of meal for it.

Looks like Arlo survived yesterday’s beef stroganoff.

And yet another that I can’t make sense of. Happening too frequently lately.
