Poor Alice will be so traumatized by the time she’s in elementary school.

Good one, Petey. I never missed an opportunity to mess with my siblings’ heads.

That description could just as easily apply to Dill.

As a big brother myself, feeding misinformation to our siblings is in our job description… ☺

I do remember the time I talked my little sister into getting into an old washtub for a float in a flooded ditch. It’ll be lots of fun I said. What could go wrong?

Hahaha! Good one Petey! It makes no difference whether or not he believes it, it is merely part of his own construct in order to better navigate the world and interact with it as little as possible. And besides, he is being a good big brother and protecting his little sister.

Most excellent! My Hero is having a sound-alike moment (coniferous/carnivorous), which makess him all the more human, big-brotherish, and lovable. Nobody’s perfect, much as we try….
