Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Christmas Eve, 1968— In a broadcast seen and heard heard all over the Earth, the crew of Apollo 8 (orbiting the moon, a first for human beings) read aloud the first ten verses of Genesis: the Biblical creation story.
Christmas Day, 2021— At 7:20 Eastern Standard Time, the James Webb Telescope (a collaborative NASA/ESA effort ) is launched from French Guiana aboard an ESA Ariane rocket. Part of its complex mission is to look at the stars and galaxies as they were forming when the universe was only about 100,000,000 years old. So, our concern and curiosity about the Beginning will enter a new phase.
I watched the 1968 moment as it was televised, and this morning (over half a century later!) I watched the James Webb launch. If all goes as planned, in about six months we will begin receiving images from very near the Beginning.
What a Merry Day! I received a USPS envelope this week from Rhode Island and it had Wallace’s picture on it. Officially on the envelope. I opened it this morning and inside was a Wallace The Brave book signed to me by Will Henry!!! He wrote my name and spelled it correctly and everything. My dear friends in West Kingston made this Christmas miracle happen. Many thanks to them and to all of the Wallace fans and kindred spirits whose own words and experiences bring joy to my life each day through their comments here.

OK, fine as ever. The most affecting touch: The sweet mini-cartoon depicting “Peace on Earth.”
Merry Christmas to All, and God Bless Us, Every One.
