I can imagine a world that is more compassionate by remembering that our 45th President really isn’t an expert at everything and that most times, when he is quoted in the press, it’s for click-bait.
It begins when nationalism is mistaken for patriotism and gets worse when one and only one racial/religious/ethnic cohort is perceived as being entitled to full rights/privileges. It’s then easy for hate and violence to replace empathy and compassion.
Countless times over the past six years, up to and including the events of Jan. 6, Mr. Trump and his allies openly projected their intent to do something outrageous or illegal or destructive. Every time, the common response was that they weren’t serious or that they would never succeed. How many times will we have to be proved wrong before we take it seriously? https://www.nytimes.com/2022/01/01/opinion/january-6-attack-committee.html
Andrew Cuomo and Donald Trump, both being unemployed, have today taken a meeting in Hollywood in advance of the debut of their dynamic new bipartisan reality TV series:
If the Republican party ever becomes a toxic brand, the charlatans and lowlife opportunists will drift swiftly over to the Dems and start acting like they were always kind of liberal inside.
When that day comes—or worse, when such types take over—I hope I’ll have the integrity to get off the disease ship. I’ll have Stantis as an example of what can happen if I don’t.
Yet my Trumper relative posts some BS about the “discrepancies” that match the numbers that Biden won by. They really don’t believe any facts, they’ll just find something that fits their narrative. Reported to FB let’s see with Zuck does about it.

For the entire Republican Party of Trump, cruelty is not a side benefit. It is a core principle.
Stantis implies that it’s only Trump. It’s NOT. It’s the entire Republican* Party.

Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us, only sky
Imagine all the people
Livin’ for today
Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion, too
Imagine all the people
Livin’ life in peace
You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world
You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will live as one

Has Scott been getting some counseling or just realizing his party is basically the default cause of all our problems right now?

The problem isn’t that he exists, but that there are apparently a large number of people who get a thrill from cruelty.

Results from Texas 2020 election audit came back and showed that there weren’t discrepancies.
