One time when we were out of town for about three days, hubby and I put our dogs in a kennel at the vet’s. I don’t really know how the dogs felt about it, but hubby was so miserable that the next time we had to be gone, I hired my brother’s girlfriend (a reliable, dog-knowledgeable young lady) to come and feed and check on them so that they could stay home. (They had a dog door, which also helped the situation).

Would it be wrong to say the alternative is to have him “put to sleep”?

He shouldn’t be worried. In a day or two, he’ll lead a riot & the dogs will take over with him as their leader.

Let’s bet which prison movies will be referenced. I’m hoping for “Cool Hand Luke.” (But if Poncho says he can eat fifty eggs, DO NOT bet against him.)
