I’ll go out on a limb and say they’re smarter than, say, 75% of the population. They’re certainly smarter than anyone would would read that study.

Many studies come from gov’t grants. There are smart people that figure out what the gov’t will pay for…

They focus on where their interests lie and run with it….

But what about the rocket surgeons?

When explaining something simple, brain surgeons say, “Well, it’s not rocket science.” Rocket scientists say, “Well, it’s not computer programming.” Computer programmers say, “Well, it’s not talking to girls…”

Ben Carson was a trailblazer. He broke widely believed stereotypes. The biggest one was that you had to be really smart to be a brain surgeon.

I know many PhDs and they all very good at what they do, however outside of their area of research, they all have their share of “ hold my beer” moments.

They have, however, learned to take excellent notes and learn from their mistakes.
