What hypocritical indignation. The former guy would have left the nearly 200,000 in Afghanistan that Biden was able to evacuate, like he left the Kurds in Northern Syria. There wasn’t a peep from the right wing over that. They really don’t care. It’s just something to be overly critical about.

American citizens were abandoned when we pulled out. Does it matter what faith they follow?

Does Varvel even know that Muslims revere Jesus as a prophet?

We can go back to the Hungarians who looked in vain for America to aid them as promised in their uprising against the Soviets, President Dwight Eisenhower presiding, and work our way back up.

We could spare a thought for the Montagnards, abandoned to massacre and displacement after American withdrawal, President Gerald Ford presiding.

We could remember the Kurds who were slaughtered as American troops watched after Gulf War I, President George H. W. Bush presiding.

And the Kurds fighting ISIS who were slaughtered by Turks, President Donald J. Trump presiding.

And so many… too many more.

Varvel has the basics right here. It’s not just USA, either. A family waiting to exit to Canada was attacked last week, losing a ten year old daughter. The Taliban government is bad enough, but the Qaliban crowd is looking to cause as much trouble as possible.

Did Varvel express any concern when the Liar-in-Chief {also, the COVID-19 Denier-in-Chief} abandoned the Afghani people when he was in office?

You mean the same Taliban that 45 gave away the farm to on an exit agreement that pretty much guaranteed war and more loss of American lives while getting nothing in return?

If they were Hispanics, would Varvel be so sympathetic.

Biden had to abide by the tenets Trump set up with the Taliban for the US Withdrawal from Afghanistan. We stayed in that country for far too long, propping up a corrupt government. While we had good intentions getting involved in that country to get Osama Bin Laden (who was finally caught and killed, under Obama), whereas we went into Iraq based on faulty intelligence at best. We finally cut our losses and now we have to look out for the Afghanis who did make it out. We can at least give them an opportunity to rebuild their lives.

I hope Varvel appreciates that he wouldn’t have much readership if it wasn’t for those of us who come here denigrate his dumb ideas. YOU’RE WELCOME, GARY!

Bloody Joe Biden went on National TV and said under no circumstances would Americans be left behind, in fact he said it several times. The buck stops with Biden. This is already being judged as the worst debacle in American history. For all the apologists making excuses for Biden’s failure, the Pentagon was pleading with him to handle the evacuation differently and keep Bagram AFB open until it was finished. Biden and his handler’s said no. They had plans on hand and to be ready to be implemented for the orderly and complete withdrawal from Afghanistan and Biden used none of them. Even after Biden called a halt to the evacuation, there were still private organizations that continued to fly Americans out or move them overland to Pakistan. Did the Biden administration help them? No, Biden threw every roadblock he could at them to impede their efforts.

Thank Trump and the half-assed, incompetent American Withdrawal he forced on President Biden
