Oh, Mr. Henry! You have outdone yourself! There is so much going on here, and even the boot is sentient! And the gorgeous whirly-swirly in the upper right … delicious.
I like how Wallace imagines that the merman is holding the line in his hands and NOT hooked in the mouth. It’s like he sends the line down there for tug of war, not for fishing.
Mr. Henry is truly a master when it comes to saying SO much without any actual dialogue. As soon as I got a glimpse of the strip I said today has a lot going on!

Something’s sleeping in the sand. What’s going on with Amelia’s shell?
mickjam about 3 years ago
I’m thinking it’s possibly a clam snoozing in the sand, waiting for the tide to rise. Other than that, I got nothin’,

Wonderful! Packed! But those with aphantasia cannot picture anything in their heads, though of course they can still think about those things . .

Does the worm on the hook have nothing to think? Or is it not safe to print?

Mr. Henry – please surround the following concept with a speech or thought balloon: a reader nodding his head in appreciation of today’s cartoon

Everybody’s thinking, even the clouds. Wonderful comic strip.

I love that the crab is envisioning the seagull as one of the dearly departed and the seagull is thinking the same thing about the crab…too funny

Wait! Has Wallace caught one of his old shoes?
Taracinablue about 3 years ago
This is so well done! Also, Amelia and Sterling should not be allowed to converse. Especially about pyrotechnics.

And the smaller fish is thinking about the mussels and the bigger fish is eyeballing the smaller fish….so look much going on!
