I do most of the laundry, as my wife is still working. Given that the washer controls are all electronic these days, I don’t even try to fix it. We had a problem with the dryer and the tech replaced two control boards, the heater and all of the sensors, but it took two months to get the parts.
I respectfully submit that the caption should be: “A plugger can repair a washing machine, but can’t keep his shirt clean”. Not ‘been there, done that’, but ‘AM there, AM that’…
Back when I was a Salvation Army donation trailer attendant, I had a nasty, uncleanable grease stain on the back of my work shirt. You think it’s easy to retrieve the donations from underneath without bumping onto the trailer’s axle and whatever else?
Late hubby could fix the washer AND do his own laundry. He could also fix the stove, but absolutely would not even try to cook! (But he’d pick up the car keys and ask where I wanted to go out to eat, so that was okay!)

You can tell how involved a Plugger was in a repair job by how dirty he got.

Dryer is my clothes closet. On a cold day you can warm ’em before you wear ’em.

If I couldn’t I would have died from exposure or disease years ago.

LOL, well, washing is one thing, but doing it right and getting stains out is another.

This cartoon makes a lot of assumptions about who a plugger is. I’ve yet to meet a plugger who couldn’t wash their clothes.
