I have liked a few Sandler movies like Happy Gilmore and Pixels (and a couple others), but like Will Ferrell he is hit or miss. They’re not Oscar winners but they’re entertaining.
This is “Checkuary”, wherein the old year isn’t gone, it just rolls on and on in the form of misdated checks. I think that was a “sniglet” from “Not Necessarily the News”.
First introduced as a ‘sniglet’ (a word that is not in the dictionary but should be) on HBO’s “Not Necessarily the News”, Checkuary is now in the Urban Dictionary:

One was too many. I’m sure he’s a very pleasant person, but he just isn’t my cup of tea.

Yesterday morning I got out the checkbook and wrote 2022 on the date line of the first five or six checks. That should get me to April.

I haven’t written a cheque since 2011… In many places they’re not even accepted anymore…

What is it about Adam Saddler that people think is funny? I can’t think of one movie of his I’ve liked, yet he gets more and more rolls. Go figure!
