Here’s a man that could be best friends with Calvin’s dad, he’s just a boring and cheap as him.One day on his death bed, he’s going to noticed he waisted his life and croak.
People don’t have to spend “a bazillion dollars” to be not boring. My husband almost died in 2010; the hospital stay and subsequent loss of income during that time (he worked for an agency & didn’t have sick days) put our budget into a tailspin. The following summer we couldn’t do anything: no movies, no trips for ice cream; we even had to budget our gasoline so we couldn’t take our daughters (who were 6 and 8 at the time) to the park. One evening we were all sitting in our bed “watching TV”: more laughing at commercials, tickling & goofing around. At one point our older daughter said, “You know, we may be poor, but we’re rich in happiness.” Her little sister smiled & nodded in agreement.
Florida would not be much of an improvement, Hammie. It was around 39 the other morning at Disney World, according to one of many Disney park YouTubers.
Or, you both could both do some bonding by putting on rain gear and rubber boots and go out and play in the rain and jump in water and mud puddles. If it’s warm enough, go bare foot and let the mud ooze up between your toes.
Hammie And Zoe, Here’s A Bit Of Advice For You. The Next Time You Bug Your Parents About Going To Disney World/Land, Ask ONE Time, Then Send Wren In. She’ll Look Up At Them With Oh So Innocent Eyes And Say In Her Cute Little Girl Voice “We Meet Minnie?”.
Maybe next year Hammie. When I grew up, we never went to Disneyland or theme parks. Every summer we went to my grandparents farm to help with the harvest. At no time did I ever see my parents as boring or cheap. In fact, it was the best years of my life.

Most people live within their means and that’s what’s happening here! I’m sure if he had the money, he would consider it.

It starts when you have to be the one who pays for all the fun.

Never go to Florida. It’s always hot and humid even when it’s raining
