the store detective needs to check his shopping list against what he’s got in the cart and make him go back and pick up all the things he forgot while “improvising”…

I never stick to the list either especially when I see a bargain or something I didn’t think of beforehand.

According to Wikipedia, grocery store customers used to go in, hand their list to a clerk, and wait while the clerk gathered the items ordered. Piggly Wiggly was the first store where customers gathered the items they were going to buy.

A mother took her toddler to the grocery store. To save money, she reached for the generic or store brand version of a popular breakfast cereal. Her toddler said “Don’t you love me?” She bought the name brand.

I see a trip to the convenience store in their future.

If he hands over the shopping list, then how can he avoid getting stuff that’s not on it?

one Thanksgiving my wife ran out of thyme and sent me to store for a bottle, and my 2 grandsons came along…we returned an hour later, i had spent $50 and forgot the thyme

In my family, I would be the one who would need to be on that watchlist. I don’t even go for junk food, I just tend to see stuff and think “Oh, I should stock up on that for later”.

I’d bet that Wanda does some improvising when she goes down the chocolate aisle.

The kid who can’t talk…somehow talked you into two giant bags of chips? Really?

However, she’s been known to call him several times when he’s already at the store because of items she wants to add to “the list.”
