Am I the only one reminded of the old song (which some of you may have heard on Sesame Street back in the day) “There’s a hole in the bucket, Eliza, Eliza! There’s a hole in the bucket, Eliza! A hole!”
So for me it goes more like, “So I went to the hardware store to get the the things I needed and got to looking at the new tool displays and forgot what I went there for so I left. On the way home I remembered so turned around and went back, but the store was closed by then.”
I’ve always worked in slow stages, checking out my equipment first. It takes longer but you don’t wind up telling one of these stories from a hospital bed.
You mean he did not make her go through everything with him? I would be there for the attempt to fix the screen holding the ladder and have to go with him to buy whatever he needed.
