forgot to clean-up the yard after snow-melt

Only bamboo and kudzu grow faster.

We’ve had some incredibly early Springs. Garden experts advised putting in row crops early but that didn’t work so well as the ground wasn’t warm yet. I prefer to wait till at least Good Friday or just after Easter. I guess that makes me a traditionalist, or just an ole timer.

But winter can always come back for another round.

Suddenly, the grass grows 10 feet. My guess is that the grass doesn’t like Garfield like Monday doesn’t like Garfield. Wait… It’s Monday. SHOOT. ;)

I forgot Spring started yesterday

Not this year; it was extremely fickle and teased us often with several warm days in Jan., Feb., and early March.

Looking out the window I’m right with you on this one Garf old chap.

One never can tell with a Midwestern spring. We can get a nice, 70 degree F day in early March and snow showers as late as April. Fun!

Funny how it can go from snow to 2’ grass inside a week!

The grass grew that fast because its a Monday

Ten to one it grows back instantly after mowed.

Highs today here are supposed to be in the upper 40s to lower 50s.

Tomorrow it’s going to be close to 70.

Yes, it is a spring day here, almost summer. Supposed to be about 72 this afternoon. Meanwhile, the temp in part of Antarctica rose 70 degrees. Our planet is in serious trouble. I’m glad I’m old.

If only my plants could grow that fast.
