Garfield really does not want to let Jon have a bite to eat, does he? Let’s take a look at the situation; if Jon starves to death, who’s gonna feed Garfield? Garfield could do it himself, but he prefers to have someone do it for him, so he could order vending machines to dispense whatever food that he wants. But, what’ll happen if the vending machines break down? Then Garfield is in big trouble with no one to feed him. So, in conclusion, Garfield, stop stealing Jon’s food and let him actually eat something!
There was an empty ice cream carton in the fridge. And Garfield’s right, Jon DOES take the fun out of guessing. It just gets boring when Jon does that.

That was probably Garfield’s next guess too.

In the first panel did Jon accidentally step on Garfield’s tail?

It’s not polite to boast about your accomplishments, Garfield. It looks like Jon will acknowledge it by himself.

In the last panel, it looks like Jon needs to visit the groomer.

See! I knew installing that walk-in mini-door to the freezer was a bad idea.

Jon, you should’ve known what would happen when you left ice cream in the same house as Garfield

Stop acting like a child Jon and get rid of the cat if you want to actually eat something that’s not white rice and green peas
