what a downside to being a parent

Don’t worry April, you’ll get used to being alternately ignored and criticized by your mother in due time, just like your brother and sister have. At least soon Michael will no longer be a helpless passenger on her ego trip!

No, El, the word is “wathing”…“WATHING.”

That’s how it always happens, when parents aren’t looking, that’s when kids get hurt!

Family dynamics can be such a trial.

When I was April’s age, I’d get smacked for disrupting my mother like that.

Judging by the subtle clues in the room, I figure April got bonked on the head by Farley, who was trying to sleep in panels 1 and 3 and just got annoyed with her constant stamping her feet beside him.

Today’s comic strip with April is a perfect example of why children should be taught to entertain themselves at an early age. I know this is for entertainment purposes, but it should be shown how April can play by herself instead of bothering Ellie like this strip shows. Thus keeping parents mentally able to live their lives.

Maybe Elly stuck her foot out and tripped April?
