    Good grief.

I guess Hillary really does „own“ the Republicans (and Libertarians).

Or are they secretly hoping that Hillary will really return for a possible (probable?) rematch with Trump?

As in, maybe she is the only Democratic candidate they think he can beat?

(In the Electoral College, that is. Trump hasn’t beaten anyone in the popular vote)

It’ll be interesting to see how much dumber this strip can become.

Maybe Stantis is collaborating with Payne, Goodwyn, Varvel, and Gorrell.

I gave up rabbit hunting back in the 60’s, but for those two I’d take it up again. I wouldn’t risk eating the meat, though.

Any party that nominates either of them must be severely senile.

    Date: Jan. 12, 2022

On Tuesday, The Wall Street Journal ran an op-ed with the irresistible headline “Hillary Clinton’s 2024 Election Comeback.” The article, co-authored by Doug Schoen and Andrew Stein, ludicrously argues that Clinton could present herself as a “change candidate” if Democrats lose in this year’s midterms.

It is not worth engaging with on the merits. Instead, this latest invocation of the Hillary bogeywoman is best viewed as the continuation of a tried-and-true strategy for the conservative media, especially the Journal.

It’s the higher-brow version of Donald Trump’s favorite chant.

In 2018, the Journal ran a similar op-ed, this one by Mark Penn and, once again, Andrew Stein (who labels himself a Democrat but endorsed Trump in 2016).

The certitude-filled headline: “Hillary Will Run Again.” The even less prescient sub-headline: “Reinventing herself as a liberal firebrand, Mrs. Clinton will easily capture the 2020 nomination.”

For those just catching up on the news, she did not end up running.

Nor did she run in 2012, even though Doug Schoen and Patrick Caddell argued the previous year in the Journal’s pages that Barack Obama should abandon his reelection campaign and make way for Clinton. (Headline: “The Hillary Moment.”)

That Penn and Schoen, Clinton White House veterans who have spent the past 20 years concern-trolling Democrats, have absolutely no insight into the current state of the party does not seem to be an impediment to publishing sweepingly incorrect predictions or advice.

What’s more important is that Hillary Clinton, that ambition-mad schemer, is always waiting in the wings, perpetually about to take control of the Democratic Party, despite the fact that roughly zero people in America actually want her to do that.

Yes, Scott – “Oh Lord.” Get a new act. Hillary Clinton got 3 million more votes than her opponent, and still conceded the next day. She DIDN’T get 7 million FEWER votes, and try to remain in power through force, like some two-bit wannabe dictator.

She was also right about EVERYTHING.

Hillary seems to push all of the regressive buttons. But the really interesting thing is that, as Ignatz says, she was right about EVERYTHING.

Every single comment she made about trump was true. The comment about “deplorables” was 100% true. She has a disturbing manner about her and her personality is not very attractive.

    But dammit, she was right.

THAT IS WHY THE REGRESSIVES HAVE ATTACKED HER FOR DECADES !!!!

note that standsfernuttin isn’t saying that Kevin is a solid member of the GQP and that "Be afraid, be very afraid is the GQP motto.

Clinton Derangement Syndrome continues to dominate Republican aka GQP thinking, even for those who hate Trump.

While the Rs accuse Dems of having TDS, its merely projection on their part as HRC has been camped out in their minds and dominating their thinking since 1993

Ad currently scrolling along the side of this comic strip:

    „Scott gets it done!“

    An ad for toilet paper!

    Which today’s strip certainly needs!

    „Keep life rolling!“

I think a red wave will sweep the mid term elections in November. Regarding 2024, the Republicans have any number of good winnable candidates. President Trump, DeSantis, Nikki Haley (I’d vote for her in a heartbeat), Pentz, Pompeo, Kirsti Noem, Cruz, Cotton and several others.
