In a perfect world, sick people would decide to wear a mask to reduce the spread of illness so that healthy people don’t need to wear a mask to reduce the risk of sick people infecting them. Have you ever been standing in a line of people and someone in back of you sneezes and you feel ‘something’ hit your hair? Yuck!

I’ve had customers sneeze on me and then just go on asking their question.

I have co-workers who would start spraying disinfectant at him like a cop uses pepper spray.

I’m perfectly happy to wear a mask if necessary, and I do. I’m already bracing for the flight to Perth next month .. at least it’s less than an hour! Not sure what the situation will be in Perth at that time, who knows..

Even if you don’t have COVID, I don’t exactly want your cold or flu, either!

My niece probably caught covid from a thoughtless idiot like this. Her coworker came into work fully symptomatic like this guy in today’s strip. He didn’t know if he had covid because he couldn’t get tested (fair enough because it was during that period when nobody could get a hold of a covid test kit). He lacked the common sense to just stay home no matter what was causing his symptoms. The same common sense would also say that he did have covid because A) this was during peak omicron and B) his two kids actually had tested positive for covid. Yeah, the dude was symptomatic with two active covid cases in his home, and he rationalizes “well, I don’t know for sure that it’s covid so I’ll go into work.”

In fact, it makes it worse. Vaccinated people are more likely to be reinfected and have a much lower immunity level.

I was going to repost my comment from Bored Panda on this same comic but I received a nasty response from an anti-vaxxer on there so……no.

Also, at the time I was in a 12 hour window where my symptoms flared but then they went back to cold-like symptoms after that.
