Ah, this is one of my favorites.

Well, it worked for Krakatoa…. but I doubt Alice can be that loud.

Alice’s Mother is always so quick with a funny line. She is great.

Alice is the Newton of loud children :)

I like to think someone read Dr Suess’ “The Big Brag” to her.

This has always been one of my favorite Cul de Sac cartoons. I love Ms. Otterloop—a character mostly in the background but with the best deadpan lines.

Madeline is right, kids are wonderfully mixed up.

Oh! Took me a minute to realize the run of guest artists is over.

Madeline is so smart in how she deals with the “well-known facts” of four-year-olds!

It sort of seems that’s what you’re hearing when you’re near a school playground. Listen to the shouting at recess, and you’ll observe that the loudest voices hit the very same pitch every day, and keep it going without pause for the whole of recess…almost as if you’re hearing yesterday’s shouts again, and maybe those of generations past.
