The small town we lived in 20 years ago had water with a very high calcium level. High enough that a drip coffee-maker only lasted six months. I’m pretty sure that is where I developed the huge kidney stone that was attached to the wall of a kidney. I just had it removed last year but I know it was in there for twenty years because it was large when first spotted fifteen years ago. I drink a LOT of water.
When I had a kidney stone – a small one (2mm) mind you – the pain was so bad that even once I made it to the ER and they drugged me to the EYEBALLS, the pain was so extreme that I was (figuratively) longing for a swift death.
For those not familiar enough with them, but are afraid of them… any liquid that is acidic will assist in dissolving stones… cranberry juice, lemon juice in water… that sort of thing. I know of what I speak, as I have had them numerous times, and still have them… they are sitting in a little bottle, in my room. :)

Kidney stones? ..and your still standing upright?! I’m thinking beer would probably be a better choice. Pee and oblivion is the way to go.

Sorry about your kidney stones, BC. However, he forgets that Wiley has always had an aversion to water. (Don’t even say that word around Wiley!)
