Hey! This arc is actually pretty funny! I like how panicked Francis is. And how the guy somehow got injured in a bean bag accident.

This sounds like the Milo Murphy’s Law episode “Rooting for the Enemy.”

If you can watch a cornhole tournament on TV, your cable company has too many channels.

Poor Francis. I wish this wasn’t the Saturday strip, I would’ve liked to see where this went. Maybe they’d keep testing his jinx abilities, or try to use good luck charms and stuff to counteract the bad luck. I think either of those could’ve been pretty fun to read!

Aren’t beanbags soft…? The only way I can think of actually getting hurt is getting hit in the face, but as I said, bean bags are soft…..so…. um how?

Francis is the one of the smartest kids in the school, and yet he believes in jinxes now. Nate, how did you change his opinions?

yup….sooner or later, it HAD to happen: Nate’s got the Fran-Man all bent out of shape with Nate’s “stupidstitions”……

I feel bad for Francis.

The opponent had an obscenity tattooed on his face. Somehow that makes me doubt it was an accident the guy they picked got “beaned.”

And no, beanbags are not soft. They are filled with hard beans, so while they are flexible, they are definitely not soft – especially when thrown from a distance, at high velocity!

To be honest, I can’t believe Francis is buying it now. But I think Nates the sports jinx. There were all those strips were he couldn’t play in little league, and the team was undefeated!
