I am pretty sure my beagle trusts her nose. I sure do. If she is aiming for something on a walk, I am very cautious. Yesterday we found two small bird eggs, way too soon where we live. They were not old, as something got into them and the yolks were fresh-ish. My dog would have eaten them raw, shell and all probably. I have learned to be extra alert since getting this dog.

I caught my 3 dogs rolling in a crate of rotten fish that had washed up on the beach (really). How you going to overcome such instinctive behavior?
