Calvin, your mother decides the intentions of your universe.

Maybe Mom has been the puppet master of the moon and stars this whole time.

Calvin, have you ever heard of karma?.

“Tell the universe to bring it if you’re so sure!”

Everything’s sure smooth sailing (on the parents’ part), isn’t it?

The universe has decreed that Calvin needs a bath.

We now wait for the revenge of the stars.

Moms are not afraid of horoscopes and stars.

Who would have guessed that the stars were in control of his mum.

The bath call, dear Calvin, is not in our stars / But in our parents, that we are underlings.

I think there’s a minimum age where one can believe in astrology, and Calvin hasn’t reached that age yet.

Tampering with the divine plan

Stars and planets don’t deal in such detail.

Moms have this weird superpower that they can run interference with Fate.

Zodiac some of this!

Nice try anyway, Calvin.

Still haven’t checked Mom’s Horoscope……..

THE universe or just “your” universe, Calvin?

Hobb’s last comment reminds me of Yogi Berra’s, “I’ve seen the future and it ain’t what it used to be,”

A word to the wise, Mom’s thwart whatever they want.

‘A man said to the universe….’

Parent rules and orders are stronger than the stars.

But Cal, what are your policies about keys? ☺

In one of last year’s reprints from Watterson’s first sabbatical, Hobbes was in the washing machine when Calvin needed him:

Calvin: Fine time to take a bath!

Hobbes: Just because you never take one.

Hobbes was wrong. He should have said, “Just because you never like to take them.”

I know some people who use astrology as a way of talking about character, without believing those traits are restricted to an individual based on their particular astrological sign. Regardless, it can be irritating. I had a friend who persisted in using this astrological slang in conversation with me.

“Look, you speak French, right?”

“Yes.”

“But you don’t speak French to me because I don’t speak French, right?”

“OK”

“Then don’t speak astrology to me.”

She seemed to get the idea.

Oh, Oh, Moms playing with fire!

I like how this storyline shows how absurd the whole “the stars dictate our actions” concept is.

Fate has definitely become a cruel master these past 2 years.

How much more of this intellectual(?) Calvin?

Calvin STILL hasn’t realized that his mom is the master of the universe.

The Mom’s not thwarting the intentions of the universe; Calvin is!

Buster. Haven’t heard that one in years.

Way to go, Mom. Calvin needs to learn how life really goes.

I hope his parents have long term care insurance because of what Calvin might do/not do when they get up in the years.
