Common sense and common knowledge are two of the most uncommon things on earth.I’ve heard that attributed to Mark Twain but someone told me he never said that. How would you prove it?

Still called common sense but most idiots these days lack sense and are just very common.

I remember when common sense was a real thing.

I can’t understand why people can’t learn from our mistakes.

Wash your hands. Cover your sneezes and coughs. Wash your hands. Look both ways. Cover up in the cold, dry off when wet. Don’t pet strange dogs. Don’t talk to and ESPECIALLY don’t take rides, drinks or cigarettes from strangers. And did I mention WASH YOUR HANDS? Wow. This “safety and common sense” stuff really IS hard.

My mother always said that her mother’s pet expression was, “Common sense is very rare.”

I’m old enough to remember when “Common Sense” actually WAS “Common”.

I’m old enough to remember when complaints about safety on the job would get you called a pussy…usually by someone nicknamed “lefty”.

That was before The Age Of Litigation, Stupidity And No Self Responsibility
