Heck, I’m just starting to watch GoComics and I’m 85,

Most of the people I know, it is the middle of their night.

I’m waiting for the news then.

I’d c**p my pants when I get a call at this time – seriously no good news would come with calls at such times when you are well past 30

One of my sisters lives in a time zone that is 1 hour different or 2 hours and she can’t remember what time of year it changes (because she doesn’t have to change any clocks) so she occasionally calls me at 10 PM just as my head is hitting the pillow. Sometimes I will talk and other times I say call back tomorrow.

even if i were awake i don’t want anyone calling me at 10 p.m. and i didn’t want people calling me at 10 when i was in my 20s…

Many years ago I made a rule: no calls after 9pm. Family understood; boss didn’t. “Too bad”, was my reply to the boss.

You know you are getting old when, faced with temptation, your first concern is that it will keep you up past 8:30.

I don’t have that problem, no landline, and my cell is usually being charged or off.

10pm is not the middle of the night. The middle of the night does have a p in it though, and I’m a-doin’ it.

Don’t call anyone before 8 am or after 8 pm unless it’s an emergency or a family member (and that’s the 8 pm part)

May 25th isn’t here yet.

I was taught that it was impolite to call after 8:00pm and before 9:00am. I hold to that except those whose bed and rise times or much later and earlier than that. Angler – I agree it is nice to have a cup of coffee and read the paper while the house still is quiet in the morning.
