That’s why birds build nests.

Does that make Wally a great uncle? He looks excited, too.

Better than being a monkey’s uncle.

There’s these small birds around here and the other day I heard chirping inside my pants that were hanging out to dry outside. I shook the pants a little and one of those birds flew out of the pants. Scared the crap outta me! Methinks they’re nesting due to all the warm weather. Don’t want baby birds in my pants! ;)

There is NO way he will take down the nest now.

We put up two bluebird houses and have a wren house we need to get hung.

I knew his bird brain would serve him well someday.

He is a “Bird Brain”!

Is he a first-time uncle? Hope he is ready to do some babysitting.

We had 2 cardinal eggs in a nest by our house. The baby birds flew away 11 days after they hatched! None of the cardinals come back to the nest after the babies leave.

It’s pretty cool to be the chosen house.

I guess a birdbrain deserves a surprise now and then.

Soon to suffer empty nest syndrome.

Perfect spot to avoid the neighborhood cats. Smart bird parents! Heartwarming sweet strip that reminds us of the many times birds have come back to our back porch to nest. We just leave the nest there to invite them. It’s on a shelf which is mounted way up on a brick wall — but under the roof overhang. No cat can get to the birds there.

I made the mistake of getting too close to a Blue Jay nest once.. Pretty birds, but watch out. They can be aggressive!
