I thought that these kids knew everything.

Depends on the books you read. You’ll either become exceptional or be able to figure out who-will-do-it in ten pages.

As a programmer, I’m very aware that there are dozens… hundreds… of ways to be exceptional. And I’ve written programs that display the exceptions… alas.

For that split second I thought we saw Mrs. Olsen back in the day, but miss Plainwell didn’t time travel. (did she?)

Youngster has yet to realize that she is ahead of the game. She has set a high goal and sounds as if she will persevere until she gets there. A winning combination.

That’s university research, all right!

I think the key to being exceptional is putting your ego aside and looking to find the exceptional elsewhere, then loving it and working for it with all your heart. And while I love reading books, you have to DO things.

You and Kousaka Reina and Oumae Kumiko. Keep at it and you will be. Never give up on it.

If he’s reading 10 books a weeks, he’s not likely t excel at anything the requires practice & exercise.

Just reading that much is exceptional.

We are all exceptional at being ourselves.

I’ll settle for being “normal”, thank you very much.

The word “exceptional” is a modifier. Not automatically a positive since you can be exceptional at heinous things too. Just a reminder.
