Anybody remember the film “Please Don’t Eat the Daisies”? Mom Doris Day is trying to get dressed, and her four sons come into the bedroom (bathroom?) one by one to have a discussion with her. “Just once I’d like to get dressed without an audience.” (Jean Kerr, author)
She must have been a mother at some time… so she has learned from experience… on another note, I have a cat that won’t pay too much attention to me all day, unless I go into the bathroom and close the door… then he is outside it meowing to come in!
Doesn’t work. All they do then is hang out by the locked door talking, yelling, or crying at you from the other side of it. If you have pets, they also congregate outside of that locked door, so you hear them sniffing and even scratching at the door. The only way for complete peace and quiet is to leave the kids and pets at home and go stay in a luxurious hotel for the weekend.

Once they hit puberty, she won’t be the only one using that lock…

So a big helping of prudence is required as well.

But how can she relax, not knowing what they are doing while she isn’t supervising?

Good thing the tub is long, no way could she stand and use the shower.

Earplugs would help too.
