But baobab trees ARE mighty! What’s the problem here?

Dunno, Agnes. Around here, every oak is infested with those ugly-looking wasp nests (just ugly, not dangerous).

Agnes is a lot smarter than people (including me) have given her credit for.

somehow, “upside down tree” seems appropriate for trout…

At least she didn’t compare Trout to the gympie-gympie tree.

Agnes has the heart of a lion. Trout is no slouch.

It’s good to have some roots, especially when you live in a Trailer Park. :)

Quite understandable that Agnes imagines herself as an oak tree — it does start its life as a little nut, after all.

As for Trout being a baobob tree (which I had to google), it doesn’t seem like a bad one to choose, if you have to be a tree. Worst issue I can see is that too many people have neither heard of it nor know how to pronounce it (had to google that too).

I liked the baobab trees. The fruit was tasty. The monkeys in them were interesting. I used to see them south of Luanda. Pretty sure they were all over, but UNITA was apt to kill you in other areas.

I love baobab trees. I photographed almost every one I saw in Africa. The people there pronounced it “bow-bob” (bow as in bow-wow, not bow tie), whereas here I usually hear “bay-o-bob.”
