It’s such an abomination. Didn’t like it, bit I understood it during the pandemic. No reason for it now, with teams carrying so many pitchers.

The new rule is certainly not a great rule. let the deep pocket owners have to carry a couple of extra players on the regular MLB roster for those extra-inning games, they have the coin…..

BASEBALL STORY—

Late 1920’s.One of the meanest pitchers in baseball history was spitballer Burleigh Grimes,who always pitched with a2-day beard growth.

He knocked down Hall of Famer Frankie Frisch three times in a row.

Frisch yells—“Okay,you(CENSORED),what are you going to do now?”

The next pitch almost split Frisch’s skull down the middle.

I’d go with “Spirit Runner.” Sounds rather Native American.

Are extra innings now sudden death? First run in wins? It really doesn’t change that much as both teams should be able to get a runner on second base across the plate.

They all have to be named “Rob”.

They should just play baseball as is – some of these games go as long as not placing a runner – next they will start the runner on third after a couple extra innings instead of second
