Another gag where the punchline seems to be ‘Hey, nobody’s watching April.’ Hilarious.

Oh boy. They sure don’t keep eye on April. I sure did when my boys were small. Always knew where they were and what they were doing. I understood how quickly things change or happen when children are not supervised. Heck, extend that to all children of all ages Happens in middle school and high school too. I am a teacher.

She just needs a more suitable canvas and art supplies. Alpo doesn’t quite cut it.

It took me a couple of seconds to realize that was Farley’s food April was painting with.

I thing her artistic talents might be more on the musical side. Just a hunch.

What John said was correct. April should have children her own age by now and Elly has to hunt around for a good reliable Day Care. Of course, being as picky as Elly is, it’s going to take some time.

April needed to hear the word no more. If they had made her behave a little, they wouldn’t have had to build on to the house.

She has a natural talent for dog food finger painting. That shows a real courageous avant-garde spirit. Orrr, she’s just a messy kid.

April is definitely NOT an off-the-wall type of artist.

@capricorn9th – I would hope we have a lot of teachers like you. Yes, things do changewhen children are not supervised. It all starts there!

We already know about April’s artistic skills. Remember when she drew all over Liz’s paper when Liz went to sharpen her pencils. John and Elly thought Ape’s “art work” was so outstanding!

I really like when Lynn illustrates April’s shenanigans because Lynn always takes that one step into the possiblity for the joke even if in real life, a parent or a child minder might have prevented the disaster

That reminds me: years ago when my kids were of April’s age, we always went to the neighboring park where there were swings and monkey bars and forts. (Some posters might remember the solid steel and wire structures with all kinds of sharp edges. ) It was always full: kids of all ages, and parents who were “minding” their charges while yakking with each other, in the days before cell phones, and their kids were injured right left and center. In one case, a girl fell of the top of the slide and an ambulance was called, and the parent was all: “but I had my eye on her every second”
Nowadays, I’ve taken my grandchildren there, and the parents are bent over their cell phones, not talking to each other, and the kids are even more rowdier, and they take even more chances than they did when my kids were that age
The difference is that over the years that park has been updated, and there is that special padding on the ground and all the structures are “child proof”

Good grief! April is a normal toddler.

I can’t believe some of you naysayers have children. No one can watch their kids 24/7 and still do important things like making meals!

April’s artistic juices are already showing the result. She needs a playschool, alright.
