That is a cute use of double meaning for punctuation. But, Brutus just lied. Not long ago, this year, he was late for an hour and we debated about how he escaped getting fired. Perhaps, Brutus was joking with the double meaning so as to lessen the negative situation. But, to do so, he sacrificed truth for cuteness. Maybe, he should quit his job, and become a politician.
Setting: High school English class, circa 1963. Teacher: “Robin, your spelling is atrocious.” Me: Explosive, hysterical laughter. Teacher: “Michael, what’s so funny?” Me, trying to stop laughing, trying to catch my breath: “How do you spell ‘atrocious’?” Class: Erupts in laughter.

It’s creative writing, no revision. You know what Kerouac said: “First thought, best thought.”

The punctuation in Brutus’s speech bubble looks fine to me. You could say it’s punctual. :)

As long as they don’t get pugilistic, they should be OK.

I think I just heard the sound of a drum riff and a cymbal.

I guess that he’s just one who doesn’t cross his "T"s or dot his "I"s. Or maybe, he just uses an old manual typewriter…..

Old Three Stooges line: (to Larry) Your grammar is atrocious. (Larry) Why, thank you.

Occasionally, I think perhaps he does that intentionally.
