I sympathize. I can ride a horse, but I get motion sick riding in/on any vehicle I’m not driving.

This comic is a bit queasy too

You have to do more than just wear a hat and maybe ride a horse.

Regarding yesterday’s strip and today’s: I didn’t know there were rules, or prerequisites, for wearing a “cowboy hat”. I say, if you like the look…wear it! Lord knows, with all the other stuff people are wearing now…

So sailor is out, too, huh?

Sister and I loved to watch “Sagebrush Theater” after school. We asked Dad why he didn’t wear a cowboy hat and boots because we lived in the West. He told us he didn’t wear that stuff because he was a FARMER not a cowboy.

Very urban cowboy. :)

I’m with Monty. I was twenty something before I dared ride one of the up-and-down horses. It was a gas, and I felt pretty silly for what I had missed.

Oh yeah? Well I have a suede jacket with fringe on the sleeves and blue jeans with sequins!

Not a unform so Moondog is mistaken. I don’t wear them and never rode a bb either.

Had a really scary moment on a horse. It wouldn’t stop bucking and I slid out of the saddle. I was scared to death and was hanging on to the reins for dear life waiting for it to end when the manager at Walmart came out and unplugged it.

Monty should start small. Perhaps a saddle on a tricycle?

You don’t need to be a real cowboy to wear a cowboy hat, anymore than you need to be a baseball player to wear a baseball cap. A football helmet however…..
