Everybody should have freedom of expression. As long it’s what you agree with.

Everyone is free to express anything that supports my views.

As long as the blocker only block what he sees and leaves it up to all the others to make up their own minds about it. You know freedom of the press.

Remember the Good Ol’ Days when we INDEED had the freedom of expression? Today’s society is so politically correct.

Anyone who threatens, presents danger to others, treason, indoctrination, etc need to be blocked! Social media sites are lax to delete this garbage…

Internet is bitter sweet….too much information…overload….people are imploding…

How about “Freedom from Listening”?

I wonder if it would be possible to add a meter to every comment that is posted to indicate the level of fact or misinformation contained in each comment. Maybe something like a bar beneath each comment which becomes more red or more green depending on how true, neutral or false it is. And then also a similar bar next to a person’s avatar or username showing how much of what they posted is true, neutral or false (or unproven?). It would be better than blocking anyone, unless of course a comment threatens someone, insults someone or advocates for violence. Those kinds of comments need to be marked and removed and there could also be a bar next to a person’s avatar or user name showing how many such comments that person has made. Anyone that consistently reaches a certain level of red could then be removed from that social media channel for a certain period of time, for example.

My dad used to say, “If you don’t like what’s on tv, change the channel or turn it off”. The programming was still there, others could watch it, but we didn’t have to. Same thing applies today…you don’t like what a person says, stop listening to them. Others can still listen if they choose. So, if Ben Shapiro shows up at a college to speak, and you don’t want to listen to him, then don’t…but don’t go just to disrupt him or try to keep others from listening.

Well… since she disagreed that everyone has a right to free speech, it’s only fitting that she gets blocked. ;)
