I thought dogs weren’t supposed to have bread.

I don’t think Fred Basset would snatch bread. He only seems to snatch sausages.

Good thing it wasn’t pumpernickel!

My second dog, Morgan, a sweet Golden Retriever, once consumed a loaf of pumpkin bread he liberated from the counter. He had never done anything like that before; I guess the aroma was just too much for him to resist. No negative side effects, either!

What a Wonder.

Well, that explains a lot.

Fred, one of my more recent dogs, helped himself to bread directly from the grocery bag while we were on the way home from the store. I did without bread for a couple of days because we had braved a heavy midwestern snowstorm and I wasn’t going back out just for bread. Fred is gone now but I still miss that bread thief. :-(

My daughter has a golden doodle…Chloe and she snatches anything laying around and she loves when you chase her to retrieve it…

No toast for Breakfast tomorrow ;-(
