Hello, my Ripsters brothers and sisters! I’m on the road for awhile, so my postings will be somewhat sporadic. However, I’m reading what I can, and posting when I can. Tonight, as a certified Old Person, I present yet more evidence re: old peoples’ wileyness…

Two seasoned citizens are sitting on a park bench, catching up with each other. One of them tells the other, “I got a new hearing aid the other day. It works great!”

“I’ll bet you’re happy,” his buddy tells him. “What does your family think about it?”

“Oh, I haven’t told them yet,” replies the man. “But I’ve changed my will twice since I got it.”

I feel like if we brought that system back we’d get a lot more engagement with the electoral system. Then again, we could also implement ranked choice, get rid of/reform the electoral college or do about a dozen other things to fix it.

That has got to be the WORST drawing of the Beatles I’ve seen ever. They look like a bad Russian tribute act.

Although I didn’t remember that it was 1804, we learned about that change in elementary school. It was changed by the 12th amendment. People realized that partisan politics and the electoral system was resulting in the election of a President and Vice President who were politically opposed to each other.

I love how the author/drawer of this strip put his name under the “Vote” part.

I remember the Monkees knocking the Beatles out of the top spots several times. If only that band had lasted longer – who knows?

The Beatles could have been almost as famous as the Monkees, if only they had a TV series

Don’t mean to be a downer but that is the worst drawing I’ve ever seen of the Beatles.

If you even need to think about which is which, you need to start over.

First time I’ve had a criticism for the art in Ripley’s: the Beatles there don’t look like the Beatles. Especially “George Harrison”. And the John Lennon looks more like Yoko Ono in a Beatles wig.

My 16-year-old niece knows all about the Beatles. I told her that after they broke up, Paul McCartney formed a band called Wings. She said, “Paul McCartney was in a band after the Beatles?!”

I was 14 when The Beatles came to America and Ed Sullivan had them on his show, 3 weeks in a row. Good memories.
