My pharmacy has been using convertible lids for a couple of years now. Press down on the center of the lid until it clicks into the non child resistant position.
With my mail-order pharmacy I get to choose and I chose Non-child Proof Caps. When I go to Walmart for my short term prescriptions, I ask them to please flip the cap before stapling the bag closed, if the caps are push and twist. Otherwise I just break the locking thumb- tab off at home.
What is worst is bottles of mouthwash that you have to press in two points on the cap while holding the plastic bottle that is filled to the rim and squirts out when you squeeze it.
The packaging that really irritates me is the OTC bottles (like aspirin) that comes with a foil cover that you have to pierce and push to the side because it won’t peel off. Then having to battle with a half a bale of cotton crammed into the neck of the bottle.

Last night I like to never get my vacuum attachment off! I pulled and tugged for 1/2 hour! (loss of strength due to 11 hand injuries)

At least most meds have reversible caps, so you only have to remember which side is which – without your reading glasses!

I conquered that by googling it. “Just google it!” is the thing to say and do.

Years ago, I had my pharmacist add a note to my record to NOT use child proof caps. Now, I just pop off the cap with ease!
