You know, everything is scrambled satellite and cable signals now, so Rufus must be picking up something different on his rabbit ears. Shades of Max Headroom! (for those of you who remember the show.)
I’ve got about 50 over-the-air digital channels now (some of which are foreign language, some are shopping channels). Maybe 30 of them show stuff I might watch, lots of 60s-80s shows, a couple of movie channels, even a rerun game show channel, classic small-money “Password” (with the lightning round) is fun.
Of course they’re a bit chopped up to put in 4 or 5 minute commercial breaks… but them’s the breaks for “free” TV.
I checked out on Gas Alley long ago. I just happened to click on it one Sunday, and Walt was getting CPR, going to heaven and being brought back multiple times. I thought “What the heck did I miss?” but apparently that was a one-off gag, never referenced again. I still check Sundays and occasionally during a weekday just to see what’s up. And it’’s usually crap like this.
I have been following Gasoline Alley for about 70 years and really enjoy it, but I refuse to read/follow the stupid G—D—- mice. I just click on to my next topic.

Milk, bread, and paper products? The only shortages I’ve heard of lately are baby formula and computer chips.

This dumb strip is too late—the COVID crisis has, for the most part, passed, and those items are available again.

For once, just once, I actually agree with Jor-El in the first panel about Hee Haw and The Beverly Hillbillies.

Must every Sunday comic be one of these stupid commercials?

The day Gloria Swanson guest starred on THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES,all hope for modern civilization vanished.
