and I’m amazed he’s a writer shrug

I’m amazed he’s not watching cartoons!!! That’s more his speed!!!

My husband does this and can’t figure out why I get impatient with him.

Adam’s not a fan of taking Postman’s holidays.

At least he’s not reading over her shoulder.

She said she was reading a GOOD book—so it certainly can’t be one of her PITA hubby’s!!

Rude.

This is the exact opposite in my house.

My Mom always thought if I was reading that I was bored and she needed to give me something to do.

Apparently he doesn’t.

Actually, now that I think about it, I don’t believe he does. Maybe that’s why he can’t write a novel. He doesn’t know how to drive one.

Laura needs a reading room. Or put the TV in the basement.

I just simply stare at the person who is disturbing my peace with annoyance until they restore the environment I’m into its original state before they arrived

Adam…shut up!

I don’t know how she does it, but my wife can read a book with the TV on.

This happened on my work breaks ALL THE TIME! Find some quiet spot to read and inevitably someone came over to chat.

Time for Laura to get a life without Adam.

If she’s reading Stephen King Adam, you better let her be. Never underestimate a woman who reads Stephen King books!

Sounds like the perfect way to enjoy a John Sanford book.

And that is why our library is devoid of TVs and computers but heavy on comfy chairs and inglenooks.

Switch the genders and that’s my life. Picking up anything to read is a signal to my wife that she needs to talk…non stop.

She needs quiet to read?

I remember when in school in the winter when we had to stay in the gym after lunch reading books with all of the noise of the games going on – and the balls bouncing off my heads.

I read while watching TV. I read while husband is talking to me.

If reading a good book – or comic online – or magazine – just cut out the noise around one and keep reading. Occasional “Uh huhs” work great with husband – we’re going to do whatever he wants anyway – or he will decide on his own that what he “thought about” ie. planned to do – is a mistake and we shouldn’t got there/do that.

I hate to admit it but this come straight from my home on the weekdays. Come from work and off to YouTube.
